Executive Committee
Orica’s Executive Committee leads the company’s global operations, strategy and performance. Bringing together deep expertise across mining, chemicals, technology, finance, people, sustainability and regional leadership, the Committee is responsible for executing Orica’s strategy, driving operational excellence and advancing our commitment to safety, innovation and customer success.
The Executive Committee works in partnership with the Board and ensures that Orica delivers on its purpose, upholds the highest standards of governance and conducts its business responsibly across more than 100 countries. The diverse experience and leadership within the Committee underpin the continued growth, resilience and long‑term value of our business.

Sanjeev Gandhi
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
BEng (Chemical Engineering, Hons), MBA
Sanjeev was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer in April 2021 after previously holding the role of Group Executive and President, Australia Pacific and Asia. He is a former Executive Director of publicly listed German chemicals company, BASF SE. During his 26-year career with BASF, Sanjeev held several senior marketing, commercial and business leadership roles including Head of Asia Pacific and Head of Global Chemicals Segment (Intermediates and Petrochemicals).

Leah Barlow
President − SHES, Discrete Manufacturing and Supply
BEng (Chemical Engineering, Hons), BBus (Management and Accounting, Hons)
Leah was appointed President - SHES, Discrete Manufacturing and Supply in July 2022. Previously, she held the role of Senior Vice President, Discrete Manufacturing and Supply Chain since April 2021. She has more than 19 years of operational experience with Orica, most recently as Vice President for Initiating Systems and Packaged Emulsion Global Manufacturing. Leah has also held a range of senior management roles in both Discrete and Continuous manufacturing in Australia and Canada, with accountabilities across more than 20 countries globally.

James Bonnor
President - Europe, Middle East and Africa
BCom (Economics/Marketing), BEng (Chemical Engineering, Hons), BBus (Management and Accounting, Hons)
James was appointed President, Europe Middle East and Africa in June 2021. Prior to this, he held the role of Group Executive and President, North America. He has more than 30 years of commercial and operational experience with Orica including Mining Services, Chemicals and Agricultural Chemicals. James has held a range of general management, sales, marketing and customer relationship roles across all international market segments.

John Cooper
President − North America
MEng (Mining), BEng (Mechanical, Hons), BSc (Physics/Mathematics)
John was appointed President − North America in June 2024. He was most recently Vice President of Australia Pacific and held other senior roles across strategy, marketing and technology since joining Orica in 2019. John has over 15 years of experience across the mining, digital and industrial goods and services sectors, having held senior global leadership roles and leadership roles across Africa, Asia, Australia Pacific and North America.

James Crough
Chief Financial Officer
BCom (Accounting), MBA, FCPA, GAICD
James was appointed Chief Financial Officer in June 2024 and has responsibility for the group-wide finance function, taxation and treasury portfolios. James joined Orica in 2019 as Vice President of Finance, Australia Pacific and Asia. Subsequently, he was the Interim Group Executive and President − Australia Pacific and Asia and was appointed as Group Executive and President − North America in October 2021. Before joining Orica, James held senior financial and executive roles with Incitec Pivot Ltd, including Chief Financial Officer and Interim President of Incitec Pivot Fertilisers. James has over 20 years of experience in executive finance roles across Australia, Asia, Europe and the United States.

Jennifer Haviland
President − Corporate Services
BCom (Economics), Dip-Enterprise Systems & Analysis, GAICD, CPA
Jennifer was appointed President - Corporate Services in January 2025 with responsibility for human resources, organisational effectiveness, global business services, risk and assurance, legal, company secretariat and information technology. Prior to this, Jennifer held the role of Chief People and Corporate Services Officer, appointed in October 2022. Jennifer previously held the roles of Chief People Officer and VP Risk and Assurance, as well as a number of senior finance roles in Group Finance and Manufacturing and Supply. Before joining Orica in 2014, Jennifer spent over 13 years with EY working in Melbourne and London.

Rajkumar Mathiravedu
President − Asia
BEng (Mechanical, Hons), MS (Mechanical), MBA (Strategic Management), Harvard Business Analytics & Data Science, GAICD
Raj was appointed President - Asia in February 2025. Raj joined Orica in May 2017 and most recently held the position of Senior Vice President, Orica Digital Solutions. Prior to joining Orica, Raj spent 15 years at Schlumberger (now SLB) where he held a number of senior roles responsible for research and development, engineering, manufacturing, operations and sales across the globe. Raj is the Chair of Global Amira, Non-Executive Director of Grief Australia, and a member of Future Minerals Forum Centers of Excellence Working Group.

Angus Melbourne
President − Digital Solutions and Chief Technology Officer
BEng (Mechanical, Hons), BSc (Applied Mathematics)
Angus was appointed as President − Orica Digital Solutions and Chief Technology Officer in January 2025, responsible for Orica Digital Solutions, strategic marketing, research and development, and technology commercialisation. Previously he held the role of Chief Technology Officer role since May 2021. Prior to this Angus served as Chief Commercial Officer from October 2016. Angus joined Orica in January 2016 as President − Australia Pacific and Asia following a 25-year career at Schlumberger where he held a number of senior executive roles responsible for research and development, engineering, manufacturing, operations and sales. Angus’ experience at Schlumberger included responsibility for explosives and perforating products research, development and manufacturing.

Germán Morales
President − Australia Pacific and Sustainability
MSc, Civil Engineering, Executive MBA
Germán was appointed President − Australia Pacific in April 2021, with his role expanding to include group sustainability, corporate affairs and property as President − Australia Pacific and Sustainability in June 2024. Previously he held the role of Group Executive and President − Latin America, and before joining Orica, spent 18 years at commercial explosives manufacturer and distributor Maxam. At Maxam, Germán held business leadership roles in Europe and Africa, the Americas and Australasia, served as a Board member for several Maxam companies around the world, and most recently was the Senior Executive Director and General Manager Civil Explosives.

Victor Morales
President − Latin America
MEng (Mining), MBA
Victor was appointed President – Latin America in February 2025. Prior to this, he held the role of Vice President, Marketing in Europe, Middle East and Africa and most recently, Vice President Europe, Middle East, Africa and Central Asia Mining. Victor has over 20 years’ experience leading global companies spanning the mining, chemical and energy industries across EMEA, Latin America and Asia. Prior to joining Orica, Victor held various senior leadership roles at Maxam and Endesa leading companies and global teams.

Andrew Stewart
President - Specialty Mining Chemicals
BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering, MBA
Andrew was appointed President - Specialty Mining Chemicals in June 2024. Andrew is responsible for the growth of our specialty mining chemicals business and the integration of Cyanco. Andrew was previously Orica's Chief Development and Sustainability Officer. Andrew has over 20 years of international experience in the energy, chemicals and infrastructure sectors, having held several Group Executive roles at Wood PLC and operational accountability for business performance in Asia, Australia Pacific, Latin America and North America.

Krista Stewart
Group General Counsel and Company Secretary
BA Arts/LLB Hons, GAICD, FGIA
Krista was appointed Group General Counsel and Company Secretary of Orica in January 2025, with responsibility for our legal, ethics and compliance and corporate secretariat teams. Krista has more than 20 years of international legal experience, advising on public and private mergers and acquisitions, financial, commercial and regulatory matters. Krista previously held the role of General Counsel and Company Secretary for ASX-listed QANTM Group, and senior leadership roles in Australia and Asia with Orica and Allens Arthur Robinson.

Ellen Thomas
Senior Vice President - Development
BEng (Industrial Chemistry, Hons), MCom (International Business)
Ellen was appointed Senior Vice President – Development in September 2024. Ellen is responsible for leading our mergers, acquisitions and strategy teams, after previously holding the role of Vice President − Mergers and Acquisitions at Orica since 2022. Ellen has over 20 years of experience in senior investment banking, corporate advisory and technical roles in the industrials sector in Asia and Australia, including Macquarie Capital and BlueScope Steel.
