Orica Brownsburg

Orica Brownsburg is a key manufacturing site within Orica’s global network, located in Brownsburg-Chatham in Quebec’s Laurentides region.

With a proud history of explosives manufacturing dating back to 1875, the site brings deep technical expertise built over generations.

Today, Brownsburg is Orica’s global hub for electronic detonators and has been at the forefront of developing electronic blasting systems since 2006.

Founded in 2012, OriCare is a site-led initiative funded by Brownsburg team members to support local schools, cultural programs and environmental initiatives. Each year, employees volunteer hundreds of hours, reinforcing Orica’s longstanding partnership with the Brownsburg-Chatham community.
