Enhanced control

BlastIQ™ provides greater control of the drill and blast process, delivering quality control management of blast design and execution, improved visibility of bench operations, and systemised access and implementation of design and loading rules.

Design and modelling

BlastIQ™ natively integrates with SHOTPlus™, Orica Digital Solutions' market-leading blast design and modelling software, where blast designs can be viewed in 3D spatial context relative to neighbouring blasts and the mine landscape.

Capture drilling actuals

Where a drilling fleet is not enabled with smart drilling capabilities, integrate directly with the BlastIQ™ and ODS Platforms. BlastIQ™ Mobile captures drilling actuals such as average penetration rate, hole angle, bearing, diameter, hole notes and exceptions. This functionality enables standard drilling KPI's to be recorded without the excessive cost of smart drilling equipment.

Delivery system integration

Efficiency is enhanced with the integration between delivery control, blast design and quality control systems. Enabled delivery systems accept blast designs, receive and respond to updated blast hole conditions, load instructions, automatically communicate as-loaded data, and present analytics in real-time. BlastIQ™ Mobile can also be utilised for loading instruction provision for non-Orica delivery systems.

Volume calculation

Automated and consistent blast volume calculation is available for surface mining and quarrying applications, based on each blast hole's area of influence. This enables efficient quality control analysis of powder factor and fragmentation.

Progress Monitoring

Near real-time visibility of drill and blast operations helps avoid costly blast delays with improved weekly and daily planning, and objective decision-making as drill and blast teams approach the blast firing time.
